Are You Ready for Safe + Sound Week?
Safe + Sound Week: August 12-18, 2019
Safe + Sound Week is a nationwide event held each August that recognizes the successes of workplace health and safety programs and offers information and ideas on how to keep America’s workers safe. The focus is on three main areas: Management Leadership, worker participation, and a systematic approach to find and fix hazards.
Last year, members of the CHM Alliance promoted the safety campaign via social media using the hashtag #LiftSafe which reached thousands of viewers. Some members held “tool-box” talks on safety and created company safety videos in support of this campaign. This year the social media promotion will continue using #LiftSafe hashtag, holding safety talks and overall promoting safety of workers. The CHM Alliance is a recognized supporter and partner of Safe and Sound. Their logo is proudly displayed on the OSHA site.
About CHM Alliance
Through the CHM Alliance, OSHA works with groups committed to worker safety and health to prevent workplace fatalities, injuries, and illnesses. These groups include unions, consulates, trade or professional organizations, businesses, faith- and community-based organizations, and educational institutions. OSHA and the groups work together to develop compliance assistance tools and resources, share information with workers and employers, and educate workers and employers about their rights and responsibilities.
