Big Initiatives At This Year’s MHI Executive Summit and Annual Conference

MHI is bringing big initiatives to this year’s Executive Summit and Annual Conference happening October 4-7 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. These changes include several new approaches in education, registration, and Solutions Groups that plan to stimulate discussion on challenges in the supply chain and encourage collaboration between providers and users.
Over the course of Monday and Tuesday, October 6th through 7th, the conference leads with a strong educational component including 4 big name speakers and 6 industry panels. These industry experts will touch on topics including the future of supply chain information systems and automation, procurement, workforce challenges, and the US Roadmap for Material Handling & Logistics used to prepare for future trends and technologies.
In discussing hot topics in the industry, MHI is working to include the minds of both solutions-based members and the users community. Traditionally MHI has focused solely on providers in the industry and has only allowed members to register for the Annual Conference. This year MHI is opening up to non-members with free registration to first time attendees. MHI hopes this change will attract manufacturing and supply chain professionals and allow them to connect with providers in a collaborative manor.
Daniel Stanton, MHI’s VP of Education and Professional development explains, “We want to invite supply chain professionals to come experience the new program and collaborate with MHI members to find solutions to their operations.”
MHI is introducing two new Solution Groups on Information Systems and Automation that further push this initiative. These two groups are open to members and non members and will each sponsor a panel at the Annual Conference to drive thought-leadership discussions.
