Blurring the Lines

I have written about work-life balance and how this has become a big topic with companies and young professionals. I came across this article from Forbes and thought it had a really interesting – and probably more realistic – take on the subject.

The writer discusses the idea that maybe it isn’t “work-life balance” as much as it is accepting “work-life integration.” I tend to agree. It seems as though more and more of work is getting into our personal lives. If the expectation is for employees to do work after 5, on the weekends and on their personal vacations – then maybe it is okay that personal needs bleed into the traditional workday.

What are your thoughts?
