How to Have a Fantastic Trip to Tucson Arizona

The MHI Executive Summit and Annual Conference is almost here! That means it’s time to start preparing for your trip to the beautiful Tucson, Arizona. Here is some good-to-know advice on transportation, attractions, weather and food to help make your experience at Tucson fantastic.

Tucson Weather

October is one of the best months to visit Tucson. Temperature highs average between the low 90s and high 80s during the day. At night the temperature will take a dive to the high 50s and low 60s, so make sure to bring a sweater for the cooler nights. Attire at the conference is business casual including khaki pants, slacks, and skirts, as well as short-sleeved polo shirts and long-sleeved shirts. During dinner and networking events the dress code relaxes to “resort casual”. This includes polo style shirts, sundresses, linen pants, skirts, button-up tops, nice shorts, and dresses. Excludes t-shirts, jeans, cutoffs, and tank tops. If you get the chance to explore Tucson’s wildlife, parks, or other outdoor attractions, be sure to pack sunscreen and cool attire.

Tucson Attractions

MHI has several activities available for conference attendees including horseback riding, hiking, and a visit to the magnificent gardens of Tohono Chul – rated by Trip Advisor as number 6 on the list of things to do in Tucson, AZ. For those staying the week, the Pima Air and Space Museum and the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum are also highly rated. For the history buff, Old Tucson offers a fun experience and immersion back to the Old West. These are just a few of many reasons to stay an extra day to enjoy Tucson.

Transportation

Transportation is available from the Tucson International Airport to the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador for $55 each way. Attendees can book and pay for these travel arrangements online.
