Did you know that 366 of 971 construction fatalities recorded in 2017 were caused by falls from elevation? The National Safety Stand-Down believes those deaths were preventable and are raising “fall hazard” awareness across the country.
What is the Safety Stand-Down?
A Safety Stand-Down is a voluntary event that allows employers to get together with their employees for an honest conversation about workplace and fall hazards in an effort to reinforce fall prevention.
Who Can Participate?
Anyone who wants to prevent hazards in the workplace can participate. Past participants have been associate with commercial construction, safety equipment manufacturing, highway construction companies and more.
