We’re returning to our series featuring the education tracks that will be held at the 2016 MHI Annual Conference. This is part three of a six part series (read the first part here). Each conference topic has two available tracks – a “class track” and a “lab track.” Attendees can choose only one session or grab both for added depth.

The six topics this year are:
U.S. Roadmap for Material Handling & Logistics
Supply Chain Workforce
Material Handling and Supply Chain Technology
Managing Change
Leadership
Marketing in the Supply Chain Industry

Material Handling & Supply Chain Technology
This week we’re focusing on Material Handling and Supply Chain Technology. New supply chain technology continues to develop at an exponential rate. This accelerated change is driving efficiency but is also disrupting manufacturing and supply chain operations. The two sessions under this topic are designed to help participants learn how emerging technologies are impacting supply chains. This session will include innovations featured in the 2016 MHI Annual Industry Report.

The technology class session will be moderated by Scott Sopher, Global Supply Chain Leader at Deloitte Consulting LLP. The session will feature Tony Holden, President of Blockchain and Marcos Orsono, CTO of Skyward.

In the technology lab session, participants will be facilitated by Joe Fitzgerald, Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting LLP, in a hands-on session to explore these technologies and how they are being used in supply chains.
