MHI Donates MODEX Baggage Check Proceeds
MHI is donating the proceeds from the MODEX baggage check to the Atlanta Community Food Bank as a way to give back to the community that has so wonderfully hosted us. The revenue, totaling $7,188, will go to food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters, and senior centers in Atlanta and northern Georgia. Every $1 donated provides four meals, for a total of 28,752 meals from this donation.
George Prest, CEO of MHI, says, “At MHI, we like to get involved and are happy to give back. Atlanta has always been a wonderful host for MODEX and giving back to the community just makes sense. We’re grateful that we’re fortunate enough to have the opportunity to do so.”
Every year, the Atlanta Community Food Bank works with more than 600 nonprofit partners—including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers—to distribute over 60 million meals to more than 755,000 people in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.
