ProMat 2017: International Visitors Welcome!

To be fair, this post is pretty much a rehashing of what is at http://www.promatshow.com/attendees/international.aspx, but it’s really important information, and these posts aggregate to the Twitter feed, so it helps get it out there.

First, though, let’s start with what’s at ProMat: the International Visitors Center (IVC).  Located just inside the North Hal near the registration counter, the IVC will have complimentary amenities like language interpreters, wifi, refreshments, charging stations, seating, and conference rooms.

International visitors may need a visa, and the US government has instituted tighter visa requirements. At this point, you should probably either have your visa or be well on your way to receiving it, but just some reminders, there are four important steps to obtaining a visa to attend ProMat 2017:

  1. Review the U.S. Department of State website for changes to the visa process that may affect you.
  2. Register for ProMat 2017. You will be able to request an Invitation Letter to assist you in obtaining a visa from the U.S. Consulate in your country during the registration process if you are a citizen of a country where a visa is required to enter the United States.
  3. Check your passport for the expiration date (passport must be valid for at least 6 months after planned entry to the U.S.)
  4. Apply early for your Visa.
