Daily Recap: Day 2 of ProMat 2023

As our daily recap video shows, Day 2 of ProMat 2023 was all about making connections. A big draw of the morning was a keynote by José Andrés. This big personality chef discussed how he uses a hot meal to connect with people and the tactics that help his World Central Kitchen organization feed people living through crises.

Connections and logistics also factored into Tuesday’s WERC Connects Panel Discussion. Featuring supply chain executives from a range of companies, the conversation dug into such issues as incentivizing the workforce, dealing with cybersecurity threats, and processing the rising amount of apparel returns. If you are a warehousing, fulfillment, or distribution professional, a WERC membership is a great way to keep updated on industry trends and network with other industry professionals.

Another great network to get involved with is MHI’s Young Professional Network. As you can see in our video, young supply chain professionals were happy to connect in person at our ProMat reception on Monday.

We opened up today with a great keynote from MHI CEO John Paxton and a Deloitte-led panel discussion addressing the 2023 Annual Industry Report. If you missed it, the report is available HERE. Other highlights include:

• a keynote from Hollywood Producer Ron Howard at 1:00 PM

• a variety of on-floor seminars that help you dive into specialty topics

• the opportunity to network with peers and watch a performance by Nate Bargatze at Industry Night

• a show floor of supply chain exhibitors

If you see students wandering the floor, welcome them! Today we are hosting a Student Day to give high school, college, and trade school students a chance to interact with the best in the supply chain industry.
