National Forklift Safety Day 2020
Hello one and all! Step right up to the magical day that is National Forklift Safety Day (NFSD). The incredible prize you can win? Being safe.
All fun aside, forklift safety is paramount. They’re powerful pieces of machinery that can cause damage if not operated properly. We’ve all seen the videos of forklift fails:
However, forklifts are vital to manufacturing and supply chain operations and they are a very safe and efficient way to move material and product when used properly by a trained operator.
For that reason, the Industrial Truck Association sponsors a day every year where we can focus on forklift safety. Take the opportunity to get re-certified, brush up on OSHA standards, conduct refresher training courses, and more. This year due to the COVID-19 outbreak, NFSD will be held virtually, but still at the same date and time: June 9,2020 at 9:00 AM EST.
