Breaking Language Barriers in Warehousing: WERC’s New Spanish Training Program

The Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC), a division of MHI, has expanded its educational offerings by launching a Spanish version of its popular e-learning course “Distribution Logistics Fundamentals.” Aimed at Spanish-speaking professionals in the warehousing and distribution sectors, the move seeks to provide more inclusive access to essential knowledge and skills in the industry.

The new version makes it easier for non-English speakers to deepen their understanding of logistics operations, warehouse roles, facility design, and other crucial topics.

What to Expect in the Program

“Distribution Logistics Fundamentals” is the first module in WERC’s six-part Distribution Logistics Education Program. Whether you are just entering the field or already working in operations and seeking to refresh or expand your knowledge, this course covers:

• Introduction to material handling and distribution logistics
• Warehousing operations: what they are and how they function day-to-day
• Warehouse layout, design, and different types of facilities
• Key roles within a warehouse or distribution center
• Industry trends shaping the future of logistics operations

Upon completing the course, participants earn a certificate and a digital badge, which can be shared on LinkedIn or added to email signatures.
