What

World Standards Week 2016 (WSW) is an ANSI-hosted annual event designed to discuss the latest developments and challenges related to standardization and conformity assessment. Highlights include multiple keynote speaker and sessions, ANSI’s Leadership and Awards ceremony and U.S. Celebration of World Standards Day.

Where

WSW is located in Washington, DC. Meetings, keynotes and celebrations are divided between the ANSI Headquarters, the FHI 360 Conference Center and the Fairmont Washington. A room block has been set-up for ANSI WSW participants at the St. Gregory Hotel.

When

WSW takes place October 24-28, 2016. See schedule of events.

Who

WSW brings together departmental and agency officials, industry leaders, consumer advocates, academics, and standardization executives from across the globe. WSW fosters an open exchange among various types of organizations who are working in close partnership with government and industry in a variety of sectors and product lines. About ANSI

World Standards week is hosted by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). They are the voice of the U.S. standards and conformity assessment system and oversee the creation of thousands of norms and guidelines that directly impact business such as acoustical devices, construction equipment, dairy and livestock production, energy distribution, and more. Their goal is to strengthen the U.S. market in the global economy while helping to protect the environment and the health and safety of consumers.
