How to Make the Most of Your ProMat

Let’s jump right in. First, register. I mean, c’mon. Here’s the link and everything: www.promatshow.com/register.aspx. Intention is everything, so if you register, it will get you in the mindset that this is actually happening, so you should probably prep. As a notorious procrastinator myself, I promise this will actually be helpful. Once you’re in that mindset, try these on for size:
Download the app – promatshow.com/app. There. It’s that simple. But actually this is a helpful tool for your time at the show. It’s got exhibitor listings, the schedule, a floor map, and even a shuttle bus schedule, all at the touch of a button. You can even Tweet using the show hashtag (below) and a link to reserve a table at the Bistro with a tap and hold.
Pick up an expo guide – designed by the lovely @mhi_morgan, this will be your salvation along with the app. You can pick up a copy on the show floor or *whispers* you can download it already here: www.promatshow.com/downloads/expo-guide.pdf
Check out the website. This one is a throw back to job fairs *shudders*. The career counselors always say to do your homework and see who is going to be at the fair. We also have a ton of educational seminars, so you definitely have to make plans to attend a few of those.
Plan your days – Using the handy-dandy app, expo guide, and website, plan out your days. There are over 950 exhibitors, 350,000+ square feet, 2 halls, and 100+ seminar sessions. It you want to get it all in, you’re gonna need a plan.
Check out the video tower – It’s going to be big. It’s going to be shiny. It’s going to be full of good content and information. Truly, I’ve seen the content plan for what’s getting loaded in here, and it’s pretty cool.
Wear comfortable shoes – You’re going to be covering 350,000+ square feet in four days. I got comfy yet stylin’ (did I really just say that? I’m really not cool *facepalm*) shoes to wear and have been breaking them in so I’m good to go.
Follow #ProMatShow on Twitter – Seriously. This is going to be a great bet for live information. Our handle @poweredbymhi is tweeting with it and watching it, so we’re going to be retweeting relevant info. It will also be streamed in the Hub, so it’s a good way to get leads on stuff (like free swag… I love free stuff).
