Five Reasons Why the 2018 MHI Annual Conference Mobile App Is a Must Have Tool

With the 2018 MHI Annual Conference just around the corner, I haven’t had time to check out the 2018 MHI Annual Conference Mobile App. Finally today, I decided to see what the app is all about and it did not disappoint! With four keynotes, 12 educational sessions and nearly 750 attendees at the conference, you’re going to need a way to stay organized and on-track. Here’s five reasons I’ve found to why the 2018 MHI Annual Conference Mobile App is a must have tool.

1. Create Your Personal Agenda

The 2018 MHI Annual Conference Mobile App allows you to keep a personal agenda of what  keynotes, education sessions and networking events you’d like to attend. Simply “favorite” the sessions and events you would like to add to your schedule and they will appear in the favorites and notes section on the app. Don’t worry about forgetting the day and time for these keynote or seminar sessions. The app will prompt you to set a reminder alert for each session. I went ahead and “favorited” the sessions I’m planning on attending at the conference. Check out my agenda so far!

2. Find Where to Go Through an Interactive Floor Plan of the Hotel

View an interactive floor plan of the JW Marriott Hotel right on the mobile app. Zoom in and tap on a specific room and it will show you what event is taking place there along with the start and stop time. This is going to be the easiest and fastest way to locate the keynote, networking event or education session you are looking for.

3. Connect with 2018 MHI Annual Conference Attendees

The 2018 MHI Annual Conference mobile app makes it easy to find other attendees. You can even send them a private message and see contact info they’ve made available such as phone number, email, social media sites, and web link. Keep track of who you have met or who you would like to meet by “favoriting” their name (just tap the star next to their job title).

4. Participate in Live Questioning and Polls

This year at the 2018 MHI Annual Conference you will be able to participate in education sessions by submitting your questions through the mobile app. You’ll also get to respond to group polls through the app as well. To do this, navigate to the “live feedback” tab and select the education session that you are in. This is great if you’re like me and rather ask a question behind a device instead of in front of a large crowd.

5. Donate Easily to the Material Handling Education Foundation (MHEFI)

The mobile app makes donating to the Materials Handling Education Foundation (MHEFI) quick and simple. Give back to the industry by clicking the “donate” tab and choose between paying by credit card or by invoice. If you select invoice, you’ll be asked to complete an online form and will be contacted after the conference. If you need engineers or technically trained individuals, this is a great way to help MHEFI accomplish its mission of attracting students to our industry
