EASE-OSHA Alliance Formed to Protect Workers

Ergonomic Assist Systems and Equipment Council (EASE) has joined forces with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to boost worker safety.

EASE is an MHI Industry Group that promotes the practice of good ergonomics in the workplace. As explained in a recent video, EASE members provide solutions across a broad spectrum of applications and industries, make presentations at various industry events, and develop non-commercial training materials.

OSHA, part of the United States Department of Labor, states that its mission is “to ensure safe and healthful working conditions for workers by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance.”

With this new alliance, OSHA will provide EASE members with guidance and access to training resources that will help them protect workers. This partnership includes an effort to help hard-to-reach and youth workers by reducing and preventing exposure to warehouse/distribution facility hazards and addressing ergonomics issues related to material handling.

MHI hosts many different Industry Groups that share information, conduct research, and publish technical information. Consider joining one to stay at the forefront of your industry!
