MHI Members Make the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 List

Congratulations to MHI Members Schneider Electric and Siemens for earning coveted spots on an annual ranking of the world’s best supply chains. According to Gartner, it’s Supply Chain Top 25 for 2024 recognizes the supply chains that are leading on the following three trends:

  1. Attract and Engage Talent: These supply chains have made people their top priority.
  2. AI-Driven Trends: The top 25 “evaluate both traditional and nongenerative AI techniques and GenAI to build practical use cases that benefit most from AI-driven advances,” Gartner writes in the report.
  3. Antifragile Supply Chains: Leading supply chains are minimizing risk and disruption by embracing tools that increase their predictive powers.

For the second year, MHI Member Schneider Electric sits at the top of the Gartner list. The report praises for the company for completing a 3-year initiative to improve the resilience of its operations. Additionally, it cited how the World Economic Forum has recognized Schneider Electric for earning a “Circular Lighthouse in the Built Environment” designation.

According to a press release from Schneider Electric, the circular lighthouse network helps companies scale for greater resource efficiency. It stated that by applying a circular approach to a range of solutions, it “has avoided approximately 513 million tonnes of CO2 to customers since 2018.”

This is the 20th anniversary of the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25. To be included on the list, companies must be on the Fortune Global 500 or Forbes Global 2000 list. The criteria for being included has evolved over time, including a greater focus on ESG metrics.
