New Distribution Logistics Equipment Course Helps Train Employees

As warehouses and distribution centers continue to invest in emerging technologies, it’s imperative to also invest in the proper training for employees. To help with this mission, the Warehousing Education & Research Council (WERC) has created a Distribution Logistics Equipment course to train participants on the different types of facilities, functions and roles within warehouses and distribution centers.

Key Topics in the Distribution Logistics Equipment Course

The online course covers the following topics:

• Types of equipment used to move, store, protect and control materials and product within a warehouse/distribution center

• The requirements and standards for equipment usage

The warehousing equipment course is the second module in the Distribution Logistics Leader Certification Program. Earlier this year, the first course, Distribution Logistics Fundamentals, was successfully launched. These courses are part of a series of six that will lead to a WERC certificate for warehousing education. Additionally, after completing each individual course, students receive a certificate and digital badge to display on their LinkedIn profile and email signature.
