WERC Introduces Fifth Distribution Logistics Education Program

The Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC) has just launched the fifth course in its comprehensive Distribution Logistics Education Program. This new offering, titled Performance & Metrics, is tailored for logistics professionals focused on performance management and strategic decision-making in distribution facilities.

About the Course

The Performance & Metrics course is designed to be taken online at each learner’s pace, providing flexibility for working professionals. It covers three key areas critical for operational success:

• Metric-Driven Performance Management: Participants will delve into the development and execution of metric-driven performance management programs, with an emphasis on building an effective metrics scorecard.

• Financial Analysis: Learners will acquire skills in analyzing financial data, helping them understand how logistics decisions impact overall financial performance.

• Benchmarking and Continuous Improvement: The course introduces benchmarking techniques and continuous improvement strategies, using KPI dashboards to enhance facility performance.

Upon completion, participants will earn a digital badge, which can be showcased on LinkedIn profiles and email signatures. Completing all six courses in the Distribution Logistics Education Program will result in a WERC certificate, demonstrating a well-rounded understanding of warehouse and distribution center operations.
