U.S. Roadmap for Material Handling and Logistics Released – Video on MHI View

A new video on the U.S. Roadmap for Material Handling & Logistics has been released on MHI View. Unprecedented interconnectedness has changed the way we do business – and pace is lightning fast with the exponential rate of change for technology.

In 2014, MHI unveiled the first U.S. Roadmap for Material Handling & Logistics as a guide for the industry with industry leaders predicting where the industry would go and how companies could manage changes smoothly. This year, we’re releasing an update in response to the rapid changes in both the industry and technology in general.

“Before it was technology that was just thought about. Today we’re talking about technology that’s a given.” said Brian Reaves, Executive Vice President of MHI.

Roadmap 2.0 details the most important technology, workforce, consumer, and logistics infrastructure trends impacting material handling and logistics between now and 2030.

Widespread adoption of technology like smartphones is what makes this rate of change possible and the Roadmap 2.0 can be an important tool for large and small businesses alike. The Roadmap also supplies a list of core competencies that businesses can use to face the challenges of the future. View full video.
