New Video on MHI View: How Blockchain Might Change the Supply Chain

The next-gen supply chain has arrived and with it technologies like machine learning,  predictive analytics and blockchain. 

“There’s a tremendous amount of traction being gained on the subject of blockchain and there is myth and mystic about how blockchain will really work within the supply chain” says Nick Vyas, Founding Executive Director at the University of Southern California Center for Global Supply Chain Management.

Traditionally organizations have kept transactions private and manual, but relying on the security of blockchain, organizations may be able to open up to new applications for automation. This technology holds the potential to revolutionize how goods flow through the supply chain.

 As we eliminate manual processes and antiquated transaction systems, the entire supply chain is reimagined. The extent to which blockchain will transform the supply chain is not known, but there are ways to prepare for this coming change.
