Ageism
A hot topic as of late is ageism against the Baby Boomer generation, forced early retirement, and general workplace bias against older people. Now that people are living longer, healthier lives they are working longer and 65 doesn’t necessarily mean retirement but many people are getting pushed out.
Working longer is the new norm and people going to need to adjust. However, there is also bias against younger people and sometimes it feels like that is getting worse because everyone feels that their job security is threatened. Older people feel that younger people will take their jobs and younger people feel that older people won’t let them shine.
