Halloween Playlist: Spook up your Workplace
By Alex Batty, MHI Marketing Communications Coordinator |@mhi_alex
This is my (Insert Clever Halloween Playlist Name Here) playlist. I love it.
I’m running wild. But I love Halloween. And several people here at MHI HQ love Halloween. So think of it as… me sharing part of our company culture with you. We’re bonding.
But we (I) thought I’d take a moment and help you out. It’s one week until Halloween and one of the easiest ways to avoid awkward silences for any parties you’re hosting is to have a kick-butt playlist playing softly in the background. When the inevitable silences come around, everyone starts listening to the tune and you have a new topic of conversation at hand.
You might have forgotten (or just run out of time) to curate a Halloween playlist, so here are some of my favorites. If I missed any of your favorites, let me know! Tweet at me. I have 4000+ songs on my phone, so I’m pretty sure I missed some. (This is a Halloween specific playlist. If we’re talking general party, that’s a whole ‘nother beast. And yes. I have a playlist for that too.)
Please feel free to also use this at work tomorrow. The lyrics are all work-safe (yes I checked. This is a corporate blog after all). Please feel free to blast this at your Halloween party, especially if it’s just a party of one. All the volume.
Random fact: Aqua, the brains behind the magical hit Barbie Girl, has a Halloween song as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRr4TMqawu8
(Here’s a mostly complete Spotify version if you prefer that: https://open.spotify.com/user/ojbg366k1ie82htoub5255nzi/playlist/6wgp3wmBEnnYUNMFDohoaz, but there’s no Spooky Scary Skeletons, so listen to that.)
