Join MHI’s Tech Talk to Tackle Scope 1-3 Emissions
Sustainability has become a critical focus for supply chain professionals. Effectively managing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is essential for complying with emerging regulations. Furthermore, as more companies strive to achieve net-zero goals, demonstrating leadership on sustainability provides suppliers with a significant competitive advantage.
According to the World Economic Forum, eight major supply chains across industries account for more than 50% of global GHG emissions. This highlights the significant impact that supply chain operations have on the environment, as well as the vast opportunities for mitigation efforts. However, as many supply chains have discovered, measuring and reducing GHG emissions is far from simple.
To address these challenges, MHI is hosting a Tech Talk on Tuesday, December 10, at 2:30 PM ET, focusing on effective strategies for measuring, tracking, and reporting GHG emissions within the supply chain. The session will be moderated by Heidi Buckhout, global sustainability manager at Guidehouse, and will feature insights from guests from two MHI member companies:
• Kari Rasheed, Senior Manager of Global Trade Compliance and Sustainability at Southworth International Group, Inc.
• Thomas Estock, Director of Sustainability at ORBIS Corporation
This live panel will explore the complexities of managing Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage directly with the panelists during the Q&A segment.
