7 FAQs About the MHI Annual Conference

1. What is the difference between the MHI Annual Conference and the MHI Executive Summit?

The MHI Executive Summit is an invitation only, senior level, one day event exclusively for manufacturing and supply chain executive leadership. It takes place prior to the MHI Annual Conference on October 16, 2016 and there is a separate fee to attend. The MHI Annual Conference happens October 17-19, 2016 and is a supply chain education platform for manufacturing and distribution companies. Attendees are able to share their goals and challenges through keynotes, panel sessions and meeting forums.

2. What is the dress attire for the meetings and events?

Meetings are business casual.
Includes: khaki pants, slacks, and skirts, as well as short-sleeved polo shirts and long-sleeved shirts.
Excludes: jeans, tennis shoes, tight or short skirts, t-shirts, and sweatshirts.

Dinners/networking are resort casual.
Includes: polo style shirts, sundresses, linen pants, skorts, skirts, button up tops, nice shorts, and dresses.
Excludes: t-shirts and jeans, cutoffs and tank tops.

3. Can minor children accompany me to the meeting?

Conference events and activities are geared toward adult participants. Please contact the hotel directly for information or activities for kids.

4. What are Solutions Groups?

Solutions Groups offer broad topic discussions in a non-commercial environment for MHI members, their customers and others, including media, educators, and consultants. They establish a direct two-way connection between the user community and MHI members. These groups provide a “safe harbor” venue for sharing information, awareness, education, best practices and lessons learned without “buy-sell” tension. The Solutions Group concept is experiencing strong interest and limited space is available however, additional guests may be accommodated. 5. How can I recognize MHI staff onsite?

MHI staff will be wearing MHI shirts and an MHI badge with their name. Attendees will be wearing badges with their name and company information.

6. Who do I ask if I would like to attend an Industry Group meeting?

Reach out to the group’s Managing Executive. If you do not know who the ME is, check our website MHI.org or the schedule by clicking “more info”. This information is also listed on the MHI microsite for each of the Industry Groups. In your meeting packets that you will receive at the registration desk there is a MHI Industry Group information and contacts booklet. Industry group members and guests are encouraged to participate in discussions at the meetings. However, guests are not allowed to vote on any motions presented in the meetings.

7. What is the cost to join a Industry Group?

Each group has their own cost structure so pricing will vary. Contact the Managing Executive for each Industry Group to discern the cost.
