MODEX 2024 Commits to Sustainability
MHI and its vendors are committed to making MODEX a more sustainable event. When you attend MODEX 2024 in Atlanta March 11-14, be assured that the following sustainability efforts are being made:
As part of its MHI Innovation Awards, MHI will present a new award to honor the “Best Innovation in Sustainability.” The 2024 finalists for this and other categories have recently been announced.
The Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) is a LEED Gold certified convention center.
GWCC delivers a Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance that has resulted in a 40% energy and water savings. According to GWCC, it is the largest such stand-alone project in Georgia.
GWCC has installed water bottle filling stations throughout the center to reduce single-use plastic containers.
GWCC composts kitchen waste to support local farms and donates excess meals to food banks and other nonprofits.
Plant-based meals are offered at various restaurants in the convention center.
MODEX Features a Sustainability Theater
When attending MODEX this March, you will be able to find the Sustainability Theater by Guidehouse in Hall A. Numerous on-floor seminars will be held in the theater that cover such topics as Scope 3 emissions, solving facilities’ power problems, and carbon emission metrics.
