ProGMA Releases New Video on Preventing Pedestrian Accidents
The Protective Guarding Manufacturers Association (ProGMA), a product group within trade association Material Handling Industry (MHI), is promoting the fifth in a series of educational videos about preventing accidents and injuries at loading docks. The videos can be seen at mhi.org/progma/videos.
This video, titled “Protecting Pedestrians in Industrial Facility” centers around making sure that humans and objects that can potential hurt them, have a barrier between them.
We all know that humans can be… silly at times, and do things they know can potentially harm them, like walk into the path of an automated machine, just to save some time. But if you put proper guarding into place in your facility, you can help account for the human factor and minimize Murphy’s Law.
Some injuries are easily avoidable if you simply put the right protective measures into place. A one time investment can prevent multiple future incidents.
