ProMat Day 3: Annual Industry Report, Magic Johnson, and Dana Carvey – Oh My!
Day three was packed with awesome. We of course have the daily recap video that we’ll link you to, but we have to talk about the highlights of the day:
2017 Annual Industry Report – The fourth edition of the report was introduced April 6 in a special panel discussion led by George Prest, CEO of MHI, and Scott Sopher, Principal at Deloitte Consulting LLP. The report discusses how emerging technology is being adopted in material handling for next generation supply chains. You can read the press release here and download the full report here.
Magic Johnson was the afternoon keynote and discussed the importance of why you should always overdeliver to your customers. He also paid a surprise visit to hundreds of students as part of Student Days and gave away a surprise mentorship trip to LA to one student.
Wednesday night was Industry Night, a party full of food, drinks, awards, and entertainment as Dana Carvey performed a set.
