Stephen M. R. Covey on the value of trust in managing the accelerating pace of change in supply chains

The 2016 MHI Executive Summit will feature a workshop on trust – specifically how to improve stake-holder engagement, build world-class teams and improve profits through trust. The workshop will be led by world-renowned author and speaker, Stephen M. R. Covey author of Speed of Trust.

This interactive workshop will demonstrate how trust is essential for firms to take advantage of the pace of accelerated change occurring in the material handling and supply chain industry. Attendees will gain a practical look at exactly how trust functions in every business transaction and relationship and learn how to establish trust immediately and avoid time–killing business processes that are often deployed in lieu of actual trust.

In addition to the trust workshop, the Executive Summit will include six relevant and concise talks on the issues relating to accelerating change and how it is impacting supply chain leaders. Speakers include:

–John Murphy, ASAC, Drug Enforcement Administration
–Brian Federal, Producer of 3D Printing Revolution on 3D Disruption
–Alan Amling, Vice President Marketing, Supply Chain, UPS
–Dee Ann Turner, Vice President, Social Responsibility, for Chick-fil-A on Social Responsibility
–Tim Lowe, President, Lowes Foods., LLC
–Sherry Harriman, Divisional Vice President – Supply Chain, Wal-Mart

The content of this year’s event was developed to address innovations that were examined in the 2016 Annual Industry Report Accelerating Change: How Innovation is Driving Digital “Always On” Supply Chains and US Roadmap for Material Handling & Logistics.

The MHI Executive Summit is an invitation-only event limited to 100 senior level manufacturing and supply chain executives. The event will be held October 16 at the Hilton El Conquistador in Tucson, AZ. To learn more and submit a request for an invitation, visit MHI.org/Summit.
