TCEP’s Train-the-Trainer Program a Success

Educators and program directors from high schools, community/technical colleges, universities, and other organizations from all over the country recently converged on Lake City, Florida to attend the annual Train-the-Trainer Summer Camp sponsored by MHI’s Technical Career and Education Program (TCEP). The program is designed to assist new and experienced educators in enhancing and growing their programs in warehousing, distribution, and logistics.

The four-day event held July 28-31 was hosted at Columbia High School and included classroom sessions taught by current educators and industry members, industry tours of Target and the Jacksonville Port, along with social networking time.

TCEP has a mission to provide instructional support to educational institutions and is taking on the major initiative to build the “Workforce of the Future” and provide training so that young persons entering the workforce, the unemployed, the under-employed and job changers can begin a career in this dynamic industry.
