Want to Learn More about Supply Chain? Resource Post for Your Convenience

By Alex Batty, MHI Marketing Communications Coordinator |@mhi_alex

I was going to call this post ‘random… stuff… that you might find interesting as a resource’ but that doesn’t quite have the je ne sais quoi that a title needs. So you got the above instead. I don’t know that the current title has the x-factor, but it is a little more ‘uncasual’ (I know that’s not a word. You have to know the rules to break the rules. I know the rules.)

So as I go about learning more and more about the supply chain, I find that there are some sources I keep going back to learn more. So I thought I’d share. I’m just nice like that.

MHI Newswire

First, I want to mention MHI’s weekly newsletter that delivers the latest manufacturing and supply chain news to your inbox. And it often features articles from yours truly. Sign up here.

SC Digest

These guys are a great news source, and they have a Cartoon Caption Contest that is always fun, but my favorite feature is their “The Wire” ticker. Quick topics, interesting stories, new stuff.

WSJ Top Supply Chain and Logistics News

This gets posted every day as a new article, so I can’t give you a shortlink, but if you google “WSJ Top Supply Chain and Logistics News” it’ll bring that bad boy up.

CSCMP Supply Chain SmartBrief

This is an email, so the news gets delivered right to my inbox. I’m not quite sure how I got signed up for it… because I can’t find the link on their website right now, but it’s great. They send over headlines and news, and I don’t even have to go looking for it.

Logistics Viewpoints

This is another email, but I actually have the subscribe link for this one *wiggles eyebrows* Again, right to my inbox – interesting, timely topics.

These are currently my favorites, but if you have others, please tweet at me! Handle is in the byline. We did strengths training here at MHI HQ, and apparently my top one is “Learner” which doesn’t surprise me. I’m always down for more resources and more learning.
