Disaster Plans and Relief

This year at ProMat, American Logistics Aid Network or ALAN, will be located at The Hub. ALAN supports humanitarian relief efforts through the supply chain community. Visit their booth in The Hub to learn about ALAN’s work, the many organizations that make disaster relief possible and how you can become involved. ALAN will also be asking for volunteers to create disaster relief kits which will go to help feed needy families.

I also recommend taking a minute to read this is a great article from MultiChannel Merchant from their February issue on developing a disaster relief plan for your company and community should the need arise. Disaster plans are something that many companies do not think about until it is too late. However, such plans are critical for companies to keep operations moving after a flood, hurricane, earthquake or any other natural or man-made disaster.

Be sure to stop by ALAN’s booth in The Hub at ProMat to learn more and do your part to help!
