MHI Members Found on Best Supply Chains of 2023 List

Gartner, a well-known research firm, has released its list of the top 25 supply chains in 2023. The list showcases companies that have excelled in customer service, innovation, and sustainability.  Gartner stated about the selected supply chains: “They don’t just push products; they understand customer value, invest in demand management and promote innovation against ESG.”

Topping the Gartner list is MHI member Schneider Electric. The company was identified for its trailblazing sustainability efforts. In 2021, Schneider launched the the Zero Carbon Project (TZCP), which sets “the ambitious target to operate a net zero carbon emission supply chain by 2050.”

Siemens, another MHI member, also made the elite group of 25. The company has recently announced plans to build an advanced manufacturing and rail services facility in Lexington, NC. Taking advantage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Siemens stated in a press release that this “facility will build rail technology to help transform the everyday for millions of passengers around the country, particularly as the country sees a resurgence in public transit and intercity travel.”

In addition to the top 25, Gartner named four “masters,” which it defines as companies that have earned top 5 composite scores for a minimum of seven out of the past 10 years. Amazon, Apple, Procter & Gamble and Unilever earn that prestigious title. For more information about the top 25 and the metrics used to determine them, you can download the full report from Gartner.
